I spent sixteen years in Ohio Attorney General collections, on both sides of the desk. I was the Special Counsel Supervisor in the Collections Enforcement Section at the AGO. When I left the Section I didn’t leave the work; I went to work for Special Counsel, and I’ve been collecting on that side ever since.
For most of those years the whole business ran out of the same aging interface. When its vendor told us it would no longer support it, I stopped waiting for somebody else to build the tool we should have had all along, and built it. RevTrack is the result. My own floor has run on it every business day since, and every screen in it exists because a collector, a supervisor or an attorney needed it that week — and stayed because it held up under real volume.
What that experience means for the software
- It knows the AGO’s files. Placements, maintenance, recalls and reconciliation come in the way the AGO sends them and go back the way the AGO wants them, because I spent years on the receiving end of both.
- It was built for IRS Publication 1075 from the first line. Every record a person opens is logged, duties are separated by role, and the compliance checks an auditor asks about run inside the program.
- It runs on your own server. Nothing leaves your building, and nobody in another state decides whether you can keep using it.
- It keeps improving. I use it all day, so the things that slow a collector down get fixed, and every release is published on the releases page before it is applied.
